Into The City For its 12th edition, Dekmantel moves deeper ‘Into the City’, adding Amsterdam’s live music landmarks to the festival venues: Melkweg and Paradiso. The kick-off takes place on Wednesday, July 29 with the annual opening concert at Oude Kerk. This year, the honour goes to the boundary-pushing UK ambient duo, Space Afrika. From there, the festival the Thursday live programme lands at Paradiso for first time collaboration with Speedy J’s STOOR, and Melkweg for live shows by DARKSIDE, Juan Atkins, Headache and more. As always, close collaboration with – and between —legacy acts and future-forward artists is central.
