All roads lead to Dekmantel Ten
All roads lead to Dekmantel Ten, but look no further if you need a guide to get there! This year’s 10-day festival takes place at various venues in and around Amsterdam – explore your most suitable and convenient travel options here. More practical event info, including all of our locations in the city, can be found in our FAQ section.
Route to Het HEM
Het HEM is easily accessible by bicycle from Amsterdam Central and surrounding areas. We recommend biking via Noord, please see the map below.
From Amsterdam (Westhaven) you can also take the GVB ferry service F20 between Amsterdam-Hempontplein and Zaandam. The ferry service operates 24 hours a day and is free for pedestrians, (moped) cyclists and other slow traffic. However, this ferry departs only every 20 minutes, which can potentially prolong your journey – this is why we recommend the route via Noord.
Shuttle buses connect Sloterdijk train station to the ferry at Hempontplein. After the ferry, it's an 11-minute walk to Het Hem. The total travel time (bus, ferry, walking) is about 35 minutes, but may be longer if you miss a bus or ferry, so please schedule accordingly. Shuttle buses run on 27 & 28 July from 13:00 to 17:00 to Het Hem and from 22:00 to 03:00 back to Sloterdijk, with departures approximately every 20 minutes. Tickets cost €12 for a round trip if purchased online in advance, or €14 on the day. Get your tickets through our ticketshop!
Please note that there will be no shuttle bus service on the 26th of July for BICEP present CHROMA AV/DJ, so make sure to view the Travel section of our FAQ and plan your travels upfront.
Route to Dekmantel Aan Het Ij & Amsterdamse Bos
This year, Dekmantel takes place at Muziekgebouw, Bimhuis, EYE Filmmuseum, Parallel, and Shelter before we touch ground at Amsterdamse Bos. If you’re curious how to travel to and between these locations, you can explore the most suitable options in our FAQ.
One general tip: taking the bike, our shuttle buses or public transport are generally the most convenient and sustainable options in Amsterdam.
Please note: this year, shuttle buses to Dekmantel Festival at Amsterdamse Bos depart from metro station Amsterdam RAI (at the exit towards Europapark). This means that unlike previous years, there is no shuttle bus leaving from Amsterdam Zuid!
The travel time is approximately 25 minutes, but plan for potential delays if you miss a bus. Shuttle buses between Amsterdam RAI and Dekmantel Festival run on 2, 3 and 4 August from 12:30 to 00:30. Tickets cost €12 for a round trip if bought online beforehand, or €14 on the day. Get your tickets through our ticketshop!
