Sepehr

Plugged into the Middle Eastern underground, Sepehr is an Iranian-American live act, DJ, and sonic maverick based in New York City. As the label head of Shaytoon Records, an imprint focusing on diaspora sounds, operating in opposition to tokenism, he seeks to inspire artists to take creative risks, diversify their sound, and represent the full spectrum of who they are in the world. Sepehr's own output is marked by a pariah attitude, disintegrating and destroying tropes through bizarre and wonderful dancefloor potions. From acid and dub to industrial, techno, electro and EBM, he adores music with a warped, weird edge and a psychedelic tinge.
