Ron Trent presents WARM

If ever a track encapsulated the foundation of electronic dance music, it’s Ron Trent’s ‘Altered States’. Released in 1990, the almighty ebb and flow of rhythm and melody, that brilliant balance between rich and sparse production, still strikes a chord with house and techno devotees alike. Born in the 70s and raised by a record collector in Chicago, Trent began DJing in his early teens and dropped his first productions in the 80s. Following the global success of ‘Altered States’, the artist expanded his sound in the 90s and started Prescription Records, a label widely regarded as one of the most influential (deep) house imprints of the period. Still trotting the globe and with us from the early Dekmantel days, house veteran Trent is back for a rare live performance with his band.
