Existing on the razorline between percussive tension and playful unpredictability, Ploy keeps the dancefloor on tenterhooks—locked into a groove, yet never certain of its next mutation. Emerging in 2016 with releases on Hessle Audio and Timedance, he quickly established a signature style—lean, bass-heavy techno charged with mischievous swing. More recently, however, Ploy has returned to the rough-edged strain of house that defined the earliest incarnations of his sound, before his emergence on a wider stage. In 2025, that trajectory crystallised with 'It’s Later Than You Think', released on our very own Dekmantel label: the record is a potent dose of no-nonsense club heat—loop-driven and built for bodies in motion—that refuses to play it straight and narrow.
