Helena Hauff & Marcel Dettmann
The stakes are high when these two Dekmantel staples join forces, for what can only be a legendary B2B set. Ever since her first Greenhouse appearance in ’15, Helena Hauff has become a festival essential; playing an unforgettable set with DJ Stingray in ’16, closing the main stage in ’18, drowning out the UFO darkness in ’22, and returning to the Greenhouse in ’23. As the ultimate embodiment of a no-bullshit attitude, Hauff is like a refreshing storm after a dense summer day. Both clearing and electrifying the air with a seemingly bottomless record bag, witnessing the Hamburg icon behind the decks—juggling vinyl, vibes, BPMs and cigarettes—is forever inspiring.
Helena Hauff teams up with Berlin icon Marcel Dettmann, who made his way to the top as a resident of Berghain and its preceder Ostgut. He was part of the legendary techno movement and era in Berlin that founded the city’s club scene as we know it today. While continuously reinventing himself, both as a DJ and producer, you’ll always be able to trace back a hint of his musical roots in (and extraordinary knowledge of) wave, EBM and industrial. Spot it through the gritty edge or analog textures in all his productions—a sound he’s also been continuously pushing through his labels Bad Manners and MDR.
