Gabrielle Kwarteng

Last year, Gabrielle Kwarteng made two standout appearances at Dekmantel – an unforgettable solo set and a B2B with festival head-honcho Casper Tielrooij. For our 10th birthday, we simply had to bring her back to the Amsterdam Bos for another serving. Originally from New York, but currently based in Berlin, Kwarteng is a Panorama Bar regular who plays out global genres. Paying homage to Black US styles such as '80s house and ballroom, her mixes incorporate diaspora-traversing disco interpretations, infectious percussion and, as the lights get lower, an undeniable acid undercurrent.
