Describing himself as a 'sound architect, DJ, producer, engineer, cosmik B-Boy, and praying mantis,' Cari Lekebusch is a man of many pseudonyms, including Mystic Letter K, Mr. Barth, Fred, Braincell, Rotor-Type, Vector, Phunkey Rhythm Doctor, and Rubberneck, to name only a handful. A bastion of old skool techno, especially the variants emerging in the late 1990s and early 2000s, his hard, fast, tripped-out style continues to reverberate in the global scene. Influencing contemporary DJs like Woody 92, Spekki Webu, and Mama Snake, Cari is affiliated with the 'free tekno' movement— hardstyle raves built on anarchist principles and gigantic sound systems.
